| Family Games Inc. was launched more than twenty years ago as an educational and environmentally conscious game company by Yvan David and Susan Hebblethwaite.

At the time Susan was volunteering her time at a local animal shelter in Montreal. She was concerned by the number of animals that were being brought into the shelter and she wished there was a way that she could teach people to have a deeper respect for animals.
Yvan said, “Let’s make a game!”

She thought his idea was silly and could not imagine combining such a serious subject with an activity that was supposed to be fun.
The two began to research, and brainstorm, and concoct, and imagine, and play; Lots and lots of play. The fruit of their creativity was "The Adventures of Oliver & Toes" (inspired by their doggy companions). The game led players on an urban adventure in the company of their two canine companions.
The game and its message of respect caught the eye of the SPCA in the U.S. who worked with Susan and Yvan to develop four additional games, a part of whose proceeds went to the SPCA. |

| Thus Family Games Inc. came into existence. An environmentally aware (we use recycled materials in our games and packaging), and socially consious company (not only do we care about the quality and safety factor of our products, we regularly visit the production factories to ensure safe working conditions), what is equally important at Family Games Inc., is that we promote "learning through laughter". |
| As a staff we all have a hands-on approach, regularly playing games over a Friday barbeque, brainstorming and testing new products. We are involved in donating our games, toys, and puzzles during the holiday season and have even virtually adopted PD, a green-winged Macaw through a parrot refuge. |
